Global Ties U.S.

Event Logo and Branding

Global Ties U.S. is a network of more than 120 international exchange organizations operating in all 50 states and 120 countries. The Global Ties U.S. National Meeting is the premier gathering of its member organizations, U.S. government agencies, advocates, and leaders in the field. Held each year in Washington, DC, the National Meeting brings together more than 1,000 participants over three days to gain high-level insights on trends affecting the international exchange, engage in in-depth professional development opportunities, and build networks to strengthen international exchanges. 

This year’s theme was Faces of Exchange, focusing on the people who keep this vast network robust and thriving. It was an obvious choice to highlight the word Faces, but the client was sensitive about using selected staff or members in the event brand, so we turned to high quality stock portraits. By turning them into greyscale images, we not only minimize differences in skin tones, but also created a canvas for introducing vivid swathes of color. The client and attendees were thrilled with the outcome.
